Governor Çiçek: ‘We have had a golden year in education in Kayseri’

With the report card ceremony held in Kayseri, 322,666 students entered summer vacation; Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek distributed report cards to students and gifted Kayserispor jerseys. In Kayseri, as the 2023-2024 academic year came to an end, 322,666 students received their report cards. Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç, CHP Kayseri Deputy Aşkin Genç, Kocasinan District Governor İlhan Abay, Kocasinan Mayor Ahmet Çolakbayrakdar, Provincial Police Director Atanur Aydın, Provincial National Education Director Bahamettin Karaköse, teachers, students, and parents attended the report card distribution ceremony at Mehmet Alçı Primary School.
“We had a golden year in education in Kayseri” Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, who distributed report cards to students and gifted Kayserispor jerseys, stated, “In Kayseri, 322,666 students, continuing with 22,800 teachers, are now on holiday, taking a break. The numbers in the 300,000s are a source of pride for Kayseri. Because these numbers are larger than the population of many provinces, and we made a great effort with our teachers to have a safe and trouble-free year. This year, we experienced bitter and sweet events. We still feel the pain of losing one of our students in a traffic accident. It was a successful year in terms of results. In last year’s results, 16 students from Kayseri were in the top 100. We had 38 students in the top 1,000. Also, this year, Kayseri managed to rank in the top 3 in TÜBİTAK competitions. 622 of our students received awards in national and international competitions. Hopefully, with these exam results and the work we have done throughout the year, I hope we will surpass our previous success. It was also a year full of major projects. This year, the ERVA Sports Schools Project was implemented. In addition, our Provincial National Education Directorate has signed very successful projects. We are mobilized for education hand in hand with our teachers, students, parents, politicians, and bureaucrats in unity and solidarity. Kayseri deserves the best of everything. This year, Kayseri will make more noise in education. We will see this together.” The protocol met with teachers after the distribution of report cards.
