A collective bargaining ceremony was held between Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and TÜM BEL-SEN. Prior to the Feast of Sacrifice, the personnel of the Metropolitan Municipality experienced a double holiday with the social rights they gained. Bursa Metropolitan Municipality signed a collective bargaining agreement with the All Municipality and Local Government Services Workers Union in front of the service building. Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Mustafa Bozbey, stated that he wanted the municipality employees to enter the Feast of Sacrifice with smiles, and said, ‘We came together both to celebrate the holiday with you before the holiday and to give good news to our employees before the holiday.’ Bozbey congratulated all municipal employees on the Feast of Sacrifice and announced the new social rights of the personnel through the new agreement. Employees who experienced improvements in their social rights before the holiday had a double celebration.
Bozbey listed the heartwarming social benefits. Starting his speech by congratulating his colleagues on the Feast of Sacrifice, Mayor Bozbey said, ‘I believe that with the collective bargaining agreement between Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and TÜM BEL-SEN, covering the dates from April 1, 2024, to December 31, 2025, our personnel will spend their Feast of Sacrifice happier and more peacefully. With the collective bargaining agreement signed between TÜM BEL-SEN and our municipality, we will provide an equivalent amount of social balance compensation to our personnel for both Ramadan and Feast of Sacrifice. These social balance compensations will be paid for this holiday and the previous holiday. We increased the meal allowance from 70 liras to 157.69 liras. We emphasize that we will provide meal allowance to our firefighters and municipal police officers per meal. In September, personnel whose children are receiving education will be given a bonus of 3,000 liras as education and stationery support. On March 8, International Women’s Day, we will grant half-day administrative leave to female personnel. Employees of our municipality’s affiliated organizations and subsidiaries will enjoy a 25% discount in courses, tutorials, sports activities, cultural activities, etc., as Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and its retirees and employees and their first-degree relatives. We aim for all our employees to look towards the future with more confidence through their social rights. We believe that the collective agreement will bring a smile to all our personnel.
