CANiK TEAM’s new European championship came with a record

CANiK Team athlete and CANiK Academy Sport Shooting Instructor Alperen Kıvılcım became the European champion by hitting all targets accurately in all stages with a record-breaking achievement at the IDPA European Championship 2024 in Budapest.
Bringing together the best shooters to showcase their skills in defensive pistol use, the IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) European Championship 2024 was held in Budapest. At the IDPA European Championship 2024, where 414 competitors from 23 different countries participated, Alperen Kıvılcım, a member of CANiK Team and a Sport Shooting Instructor at CANiK Academy, achieved the championship by ranking first in the pistol categories overall.
Completing all stages with accurate shots receiving a ‘Down-Zero’ (hitting all targets accurately in all stages) score, Kıvılcım crowned his success with a record that is hard to break. With this achievement, Kıvılcım won the Most Accurate, Carry Optic Division 1, Carry Optic Master 1, and High Industry awards using the world-famous CANiK SFx RIVAL-S pistol and MECANiK MO3 reflex sight, selected as the handgun of the year in the USA.
CANiK Team, led by team captain Nils Jonasson, also won the European Championship in 2022. Jonasson, competing with the CANiK SFx Rival pistol, won the ESP Division Champion, ESP DM First Place, and High International Handgun awards in the championship where 515 sport shooters competed.

CANiK Academy Sport Shooting Instructor Alperen Kıvılcım stated, “We worked very hard for this success. We see the results of the scientific and innovative training methods we have developed and implemented within CANiK Academy for the advancement of modern marksmanship. We practice marksmanship that nobody thought was possible to hit at times nobody thought it could be achieved. This is just the beginning, keep watching us”.
CANiK Academy Director İsmail Dut said that they were happy to once again become the European Champion after 2022 and to achieve this success with an almost impossible record to break. Emphasizing that CANiK Academy, operating with the motto ‘Experience Teaches’, has started to reap the fruits of the educational programs developed by approaching marksmanship scientifically, Dut highlighted, “The fact that CANiK Academy Sport Shooting Instructor Alperen Kıvılcım became the European Champion with ‘zero error’ far ahead of all his competitors is proof of how accurate we are. Despite all the achievements we have obtained so far, we are still at the beginning of the road. However, it is necessary never to forget that the successes achieved by our CANiK Team shooters are the result of a process carried out through teamwork. We see together that with entirely scientific training sessions, the performance of team members is improving day by day, and unprecedented performances in sport shooting can be achieved. From now on, we will not only attract the attention of the whole world with our world-famous firearms, but also with the outstanding shooters we have trained.”
