Startep Turkey, which sees the young population as an important resource in the development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem, continues to meet with young people at universities without slowing down in order to discuss entrepreneurship opportunities and activate students’ ideas. Startep Turkey, which explains to young people ‘how’ to access the necessary financial and experiential resources to start a venture, is waiting for bright ideas of young people to bring and establish a venture from the real estate, automotive, and insurance sectors by the end of 2024. Startep Turkey has rolled up its sleeves to eliminate the barriers faced by young ideas and to realize the dreams of young people. Until September 1st, young entrepreneurs who apply to Proptech, Autotech, and Insurtech promotion programs via the website www.startep.com.tr and pass the evaluation will benefit from coaching, sectoral guidance, experiential investment, financial investment through venture capital investment fund support, as well as academic and technical consultancy, software/technology support, networking, investor and company meetings. Thus, Startep Turkey will bring and establish one venture from the real estate, automotive, and insurance sectors by the end of 2024 in the sector. Believing that entrepreneurship ecosystem is Turkey’s new growth model and being an initiative of BIRTEP (Together Trade Economy Platform), Startep Turkey’s main goal is to encourage innovation among the youth in Turkey, to trigger the courage to start a venture.

Drawing attention to the presence of 12 million 872 thousand 39 young minds and different dreams in Turkey, BIRTEP CEO and founder of Startep Turkey, Kürşat Köz, stated, ‘Turkey’s young population is an important resource to develop the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Our country needs to learn more about entrepreneurship, it needs to talk more. Because entrepreneurship is not a success story that someone accidentally catches. The startup ecosystem has displaced giants that were considered ‘indestructible’ in the world in the last 30 years. The companies you see today may not survive in this ecosystem in 5 years, 10 years. That’s why Turkey has to base its growth model on startups/entrepreneurs.’ Köz explained that as Startep Turkey, they meet with young people at universities to discuss entrepreneurship opportunities and activate students’ ideas. ‘The interest of young people in entrepreneurship is high, but this rate drops significantly when it comes to starting a venture. We want to make the most of this potential of young people who are natives of the digital world to become a locomotive for the country. Köz stated the goals of Startep Turkey: ‘The strong aspect of Startep Turkey is to establish ventures through correct and working practices as professionals who know the field, understand the entrepreneur, and impress the investor. With the Venture Capital Investment Fund, we will support promising ventures and grow together. By spreading the understanding of Angel Investor to the base, we will move ventures away from a one-way funding approach to a multi-faceted promotion-oriented line.’
