Mayor Buyukkilic: ‘We have completed the preparations for the holiday in the cemeteries’

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç announced that the Metropolitan Municipality carried out maintenance, repair, and cleaning works in cemeteries before the Eid al-Adha, and on the eve and throughout the holiday, free services will be provided to elderly and disabled citizens at the entrances of the City Cemetery with vehicles belonging to the Metropolitan Municipality. The Metropolitan Municipality of Kayseri, as it does every holiday, offers the opportunity for citizens to visit graves comfortably by carrying out maintenance, repair, and cleaning works in cemeteries before the Eid al-Adha. Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç stated in his statement regarding the matter, “While taking all necessary precautions for the people of Kayseri to have a peaceful holiday as the Metropolitan Municipality, we have also carried out a series of works before the holiday for grave visits in cemeteries.” Reminding that the Cemetery Branch Directorate personnel carry out cleaning, maintenance, and repair works in cemeteries under the responsibility of the Metropolitan Municipality, Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “In order to ensure that citizens can visit graves comfortably on the eve and during the Eid al-Adha, the teams on duty carried out a comprehensive cleaning work in cemeteries.” Mayor Büyükkılıç emphasized that intensive work was carried out on various issues such as mowing grass, maintenance and watering of trees, maintenance and cleaning of roads, fountains, and parking lots within the scope of the works. Mayor Büyükkılıç added that the municipal police teams will continue their inspections to prevent emotional exploitation by beggars in the City Cemetery for the well-being and peace of the people of Kayseri visiting graves on the Eve and during the holiday.
