Mayor Buyukkilic: ‘The art center is overflowing’

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç attended the exhibition opening of young students at the Büyük Şehir Sanat Galerisi (Metropolitan City Art Gallery). Mayor Büyükkılıç stated, ‘Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Art Center is overflowing. The activities of our schools come together here.’ The exhibition, consisting of works prepared by students for the 2023-2024 academic year, was opened at the Büyük Şehir Sanat Galerisi located within the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Millet Bahçesi (People’s Garden) by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality for the service of the city, art lovers, and the art community. Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, who attended the exhibition opening, witnessed the talents of the students along with the participants. Mayor Büyükkılıç, who examined the students’ works with interest at the exhibition, stated, ‘Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Art Center is overflowing. The activities of our schools come together here. Indeed, our dear children are encouraged, their lines are very beautiful, and we are thrilled when we see their paintings here.’ Providing advice to the students, Mayor Büyükkılıç emphasized the importance of social activities, cultural activities, and art over everything else. He said, ‘Art is important, lessons are important, but social activities, cultural activities, and art are more important than everything. It develops your brain, enhances your personality, and makes you self-confident. Talent emerges when opportunities are given at this age group, and Bahçeşehir provides that, we congratulate you. I also congratulate the families who educate you. These are important, appreciate them and make good use of them. Run from success to success. Let our city win, our family win, and you will win in the future.’ Mayor Büyükkılıç also shared that the exhibition will be open for 2 days. Mayor Büyükkılıç, who was met with the love demonstrations of the young students, gifted them a Mondihome Kayserispor jersey with his signature.
