Aydın’s Tourism Master Plan has been approved in the assembly

A decision was made by majority vote in the Aydın Metropolitan Municipality council to prepare the Aydın Tourism Master Plan. The aim is for Aydın to become a prominent city in tourism with this master plan.

The second council meeting of June was held under the chairmanship of Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu. Reports of the Planning and Construction Commission, the Planning and Budget Commission, and the Education Culture Youth and Sports Commission were discussed in the council. Agenda items were approved by majority vote.

The Aydın Tourism Master Plan, which was included in 7 agenda items in the council, was put to a vote. In order to evaluate Aydın’s tourism potential, to develop tourism activities in cooperation with the public, local government, civil society organizations, and the private sector, to ensure participation in the implementation process, to increase the city’s tourism revenue, to develop a sustainable tourism approach, to achieve high levels in the national and international tourism market, and to make Aydın a prominent city in tourism, the metropolitan municipality council members approved by majority vote the 7th item, which the commission deemed suitable for the preparation of the Aydın Tourism Master Plan. It was decided in the council to prepare the Aydın Tourism Master Plan.

President Çerçioğlu was authorized
The council authorized President Çerçioğlu for the signing of the contract between the metropolitan and district municipality mayors for the rental of the wedding hall in Sultanhisar, the sports facility in Ortaklar neighborhood of Germencik, and the restaurant in Mursallı for a monthly fee of 5,000 TL for one year.

Additionally, for activities such as competitions, celebrations, city decorations, and concerts to be held on Victory Day on August 30, the council authorized Aydın Metropolitan Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu by majority vote.
