Teachers were given ‘Search and Rescue in Earthquakes’ training.

Teachers working under the Directorate of National Education in Denizli were provided with ‘Search and Rescue in Earthquakes’ training.

A theoretical and practical ‘Search and Rescue in Earthquakes’ training was conducted for teachers working under the Directorate of National Education by the search and rescue team of the Presidency of Religious Affairs.

As part of the goal of training 100,000 search and rescue personnel by the AFAD Presidency for the 100th anniversary of the Republic, training was provided to teachers within the scope of the training program organized by the Provincial AFAD Directorate. Hamidullah Ata, the Leader of the Denizli Search and Rescue Team, explained that training was provided to the MEB-AKUB Search and Rescue team, consisting of teachers from the Ministry of National Education, in 3 groups. Leader Ata stated, ‘Within the training program, training was provided to 3 groups of MEB-AKUB team consisting of approximately 222 teachers between May 20 and June 7. The training covered team formation, organization, logistics, movement, security, incident scene management and coordination, personnel behavior principles at the scene, TAMP-AYDES-İKAS briefing, reporting and feedback, evacuation and types of evacuation, concrete breaking, reinforcement applications, general structure knowledge, general service knowledge, use of rescue machines, and INSARAG briefing. Following the theoretical training, practical training, exam, and drill concluded the program. Additionally, throughout the training, various treats were provided to the personnel through the Turkey Diyanet Foundation Denizli Branch Mobile Catering vehicle. We should always be prepared for potential earthquakes in Turkey and in Denizli. These trainings are crucial. Through these trainings, we can survive and contribute to saving many lives’.
