Manisa Celal Bayar University Faculty of Communication has graduated its first students. In the academic year of 2020-2021, 45 students of the Faculty of Communication received their diplomas at a ceremony held for the first students admitted to the program.
Manisa Celal Bayar University Faculty of Communication held its first graduation ceremony for the academic year 2023-2024 at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center. The graduation ceremony was attended by the Manisa CBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, Deputy Governor Erhan Günay, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çetin, Rector’s Advisor Assoc. Prof. Emriye Ay, protocol members, academic and administrative staff, families, and students.
The program started with the national anthem, followed by the screening of a promotional film prepared by the Public Relations and Advertising Department students of the Faculty of Communication at Manisa Celal Bayar University. The top student of the faculty, Gözde Kaya, delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates.
“They will be professionals in various sectors as communication experts”
Dean of the Faculty of Communication at Manisa Celal Bayar University, Prof. Dr. Meral Özçınar, expressed her satisfaction with the success of the students and the future of the faculty in her speech at the ceremony. Prof. Dr. Özçınar stated, ‘We are delighted to graduate our first students this year at the Faculty of Communication. I thank my instructors who have trained our students with great dedication and individual attention. I wholeheartedly believe that our students will excel in various sectors as professional communication experts. We are raising communication professionals here who adhere to professional ethics. We are both happy and proud to send off you esteemed communication professionals who adhere to ethical principles to the industry today. Your principled stance and the contributions you will make to the industry give us even greater hope for the future of the sector. The fact that the top executives of our city bid you farewell is a testament to the value you hold. I congratulate the students who are celebrating their graduation on behalf of the academic and administrative staff, wish them continued success and open paths in their future endeavors.’
“We will be by your side from now on”
Starting her speech by addressing the ongoing genocide in Palestine, Rector of Manisa Celal Bayar University, Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar, congratulated the first graduates and their families from the Faculty of Communication, and thanked the faculty members. Expressing her belief that the faculty will continue to grow and train experts suitable for the needs of the industry, Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar said, ‘Dear young people, today is your day. University life not only allows us to acquire academic knowledge but also helps us grow personally and professionally. Just as we have been with you in your academic life, we will be by your side from now on. I wish your future life to be filled with health, happiness, and success. May your graduation be blessed, may your path be clear and your fortune be open, may God be your helper and supporter.’
Certificates of achievement and awards were presented to students who excelled, and protocol members congratulated the students for their outstanding achievements at the ceremony, while the students’ families witnessed those moments with great excitement and pride.
At the end of the program, all graduate students were called to the stage to receive their symbolic graduation certificates. In the final part of the ceremony, after reciting the communication oath together with enthusiasm, the students joyfully threw their caps in the air.
