Gediz Vocational School celebrates graduation excitement

The graduation ceremony of the Vocational School in the district of Gediz in Kütahya was held. The graduation ceremony for the 2023-2024 Academic Year at Gediz Vocational School was attended by the Rector of Dumlupınar University, Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak, the Mayor of Gediz, Necdet Akel, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ayhan Kahraman, Director of Gediz Health Services Vocational School, Instructor Dr. Yusuf Güner, Gediz Protocol, NGO Representatives, District Authorities, academic and administrative staff, graduating candidates, and their families. The program started with a moment of silence and the national anthem, followed by protocol speeches. In his opening speech, the Director of the Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Hasan Basri Karayel, expressed the pride and excitement of graduating 300 students from the Gediz Vocational School family. He congratulated the students and advised them to work hard, be inquisitive, be fair, because it will make them strong. He also emphasized the importance of having integrity and being outspoken. The Rector of Kütahya Dumlupınar University, Prof. Dr. Süleyman Kızıltoprak, urged the graduating students to carry the name of the university with honor and to work in a manner befitting its reputation. He emphasized the significance of the university’s name in Turkish history and the responsibility it carries. After the protocol speeches, academic incentives were awarded to deserving academicians and prizes were given to students who excelled in their departments and to the champion teams of the school football tournament. Following the award ceremony, students celebrated their graduation by throwing their caps in the air. Throughout the year, certificates of achievement were presented to the top performers by the protocol members. The program concluded with Gediz Municipality serving soup.
