Families of martyrs and veterans react to Aydeniz: ‘We do not want DEM-affiliated deputies, extensions of the PKK terrorist organization, in our veteran assembly’

Abbas Gündüz, the President of the Association of July 15 Democracy Martyrs, Veterans, and Terrorism Victims, stated, ‘We do not want DEM deputies, who are the extension of the PKK terrorist organization that martyrs our soldiers, police officers, and security guards, in our parliament.’ Reacting to the statements of DEM Party’s Mardin Deputy Salihe Aydeniz, Abbas Gündüz said they do not want DEM deputies in the parliament. Gündüz expressed, ‘If you had any shame, you would not engage in politics on behalf of the terrorist organization PKK, which massacres Kurds. It is horrifying that those who shed Kurdish blood, kill Kurdish children, and condemn Kurds to suffering and torment, while living in comfort themselves, appear to be advocating for the so-called rights of our Kurdish brothers.’ Continuing by saying, ‘For those who have difficulty understanding that there is no Kurdistan in Turkey and there cannot be, what else can we say?’ Gündüz added, ‘How long should we tolerate these deputies being in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, receiving salaries from the state, enjoying themselves, and making treachery a profession? If you had a little conscience, you would not show enmity towards the country that pays your salary and provides your bread. You should actually be doing politics in Armenia. Being Kurdish-looking does not make you a savior from crypto-Armenians.’ He emphasized that it is unacceptable for the political extensions of the PKK terrorist organization, the DEM members, to openly and blatantly support terrorism in the parliament, stating, ‘It is unacceptable for the DEM members to openly and blatantly support terrorism in the parliament. Eastern and Southeastern deputies who love their state, nation, and flag also need to respond to these DEM members. This is not a banana republic, this is the Republic of Turkey. There is law, there are regulations, everyone will abide by them. No one can occupy the state’s office by aiding and abetting a terrorist organization. Everyone will know their place. I want to emphasize once again that we do not want the DEM deputies, who are the extensions of the PKK terrorist organization that martyrs our soldiers, police officers, and security guards, in our parliament.’
