Preparations for the season have been completed in Avşa Island, the popular holiday destination affiliated with the Marmara district of Balıkesir. In coordination with Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality and Marmara Islands Municipality, preparations for the season have been finalized on Avşa Island. The holiday paradise, described as the pearl of Balıkesir, is ready to welcome its guests as the local shopkeepers are working diligently to accommodate visitors. Avşa Island awaits holidaymakers with its colorful atmosphere and unique beaches. CHP Council Member Dr. Şahin Alagaş from Marmara Islands Municipality and Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality noted that preparations have been completed on Avşa Island and the island is ready to welcome its guests. Dr. Şahin Alagaş stated, ‘We have completed our work. Whether it is our roads or our cleaning efforts, we have taken care of everything. Our pest control efforts continue both on land and from the air using unmanned aerial vehicles. Our colleagues are working very effectively. We have also completed our sewage cleaning. Of course, our shopkeepers have also completed their season preparations. We are ready to serve. In the summer, the population of Avşa sometimes increases up to 40 times. Avşa is one of Turkey’s most beautiful holiday resorts. We are experiencing a busy season.’ Shopkeepers on Avşa Island mention that the activity has increased with the approaching Eid al-Adha holiday. Eagerly awaiting the opening of the season, shopkeepers express that they have completed their preparations to welcome the visitors who will flock to the island during the 9-day holiday period.
