The ‘Best News Agency of the Year’ award goes to IHA

The Media Awards organized traditionally by Istanbul Gelisim University found their winners as a result of the voting of university students. This year, at the 10th ceremony, the award for ‘Best News Agency’ was given to Ihlas News Agency. Istanbul Gelisim University Media Awards 10th edition took place. The media veterans selected by the votes of university students were presented with their awards at the ceremony. Many names from the art, football, and media industries attended the ceremony held at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall of the university, giving students the chance to meet industry veterans. Ali Limoncu received the award for Contributing to Turkish Sports, Bülent Emin Yarar received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Art, and Şansal Büyüka was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in Sports. Additionally, TV Channel of the Year went to TV8, Coach of the Year to Çağdaş Atan, and the Music Lifetime Achievement Award to Yavuz Bingöl. The Best News Agency was awarded to Ihlas News Agency. A total of 70 awards were presented across 70 categories, by the Board of Trustees Chairman Abdülkadir Gayretli, Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin, and university faculty members. The award for Best News Agency was presented to Corporate News Reporter Nisanur Şentürk on behalf of the institution. Thanking for deeming Ihlas News Agency worthy of the award, Şentürk stated, ‘I accept this award on behalf of my press colleagues who tirelessly chase news in the field despite the difficulties they face.’
