Preparations for the holiday are complete in Osmangazi

Osmangazi Municipality Mayor Erkan Aydın, who visited the livestock markets where cattle and small ruminants are sold, stated that they have completed all the preparations for the animal breeders and citizens to perform their religious duties in a healthy manner. During the Feast of Sacrifice, Osmangazi Municipality has taken necessary precautions to ensure that sacrificial animals are sold and slaughtered in clean and hygienic conditions. The municipality aims to provide reliable, healthy, and quality services to both animal breeders and citizens who will buy sacrificial animals. In addition to the Modern Sacrificial Animal Sales and Slaughter Facility located in Veysel Karani Neighborhood, a sacrificial animal sales point was established in Geçit Neighborhood. This year, a total of 10,920 animals, including 8,120 small ruminants and 2,800 cattle, were put up for sale at the Veysel Karani Modern Sacrificial Animal Sales Facility, while 1,560 cattle and 8,300 small ruminants took their place at the sacrificial animal market established in Geçit Neighborhood. To ensure that citizens slaughter their sacrificial animals in accordance with religious rules, health conditions, and environmental cleanliness, 23 indoor and outdoor marketplaces in the district were designated as sacrificial animal slaughter areas. The slaughter places in Osmangazi will be disinfected regularly in accordance with general health conditions to prevent any negative impact on environmental and public health. Cleaning Department teams will be on duty to prevent any unpleasant sights during the holiday period. The slaughter places will be washed continuously with tankers throughout the holiday. The work will continue every hour during the holiday. Osmangazi Municipality Mayor Erkan Aydın stated that they have taken all necessary precautions to enable the citizens of Osmangazi to perform their religious duties in a healthy manner and have a peaceful holiday. Mayor Aydın emphasized the importance of citizens performing their sacrificial worship at the designated slaughter points determined by the municipality, in hygienic and healthy environments without harming themselves or others. Mayor Aydın also mentioned that municipal staff will be on duty throughout the holiday to ensure that citizens have a comfortable and peaceful holiday. He emphasized that the Cleaning Department, Civil Works Department, Municipal Police, and Environmental Protection and Control Department teams, as well as the call center staff, will be working during the holiday. He invited citizens to contact the municipality in case of emergency or to convey their requests, demands, and complaints by calling. He also mentioned that they are in constant communication with the citizens who come to Osmangazi from various parts of the country to sell their animals, and they listen to their problems and requests on the spot to provide solutions. He urged citizens to perform their worship at the designated slaughter points to prevent any mishaps. Osmangazi Municipality is ready for the upcoming Feast of Sacrifice with its management team and staff. He wished an early Feast of Sacrifice to the entire Islamic world and prayed for Allah to grant us new holidays.
