Governor Çiçek: ‘We are proud of our city hospital’

Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, together with AK Party Kayseri Deputy Şaban Çopuroğlu, visited Kayseri City Hospital to evaluate the newly opened centers. Provincial Health Director Dr. Mehmet Erşan, Hospital Chief Physician Assoc. Dr. Serhat Koyuncu, along with directorate and hospital managers, were present during the visit. During the visit, where evaluations were made at the IVF, Burn, Stroke Centers opened in the past months, as well as the Cornea Bank, Çiçek and Çopuroğlu received information from responsible physicians about the services and qualities offered in these units. Governor Çiçek, while visiting the patients in the wards and conveying his get well wishes, expressed once again their pride in the City Hospital, saying, ‘We visited the units that were put into service at the City Hospital recently. We first visited our IVF center and had conversations with our colleagues. We were pleased to see that it is a center that is designed at an advanced level and worthy of Kayseri. Then, by seeing our newly established cornea bank, we received information on the areas related to eye interventions where our City Hospital can directly intervene.’ In his speech, Governor Çiçek also emphasized that soon there will be no area in Kayseri City Hospital where intervention cannot be made, stating, ‘We are now in one of the most equipped burn centers in Central Anatolia. We received information from our professors. I thank our Provincial Health Director, chief physician, and doctors very much. We really saw that they worked with great effort. We are also pleased to see that now any kind of burn can be intervened at Kayseri City Hospital without being referred elsewhere. All these are centers that have been established recently. Liver transplant procedures will also be carried out in the near future. The City Hospital is not only the most equipped hospital in Kayseri but in the whole region. I thank my professors for their efforts, we are proud once again of our City Hospital and our professors after what we saw today.’ AK Party Kayseri Deputy Şaban Çopuroğlu said, ‘May Allah grant healing to all our patients, may He not bring any harm to our state. What we see is that when there is a need, there is a hospital right next to them within the geography they are located. There are times when 18 thousand patients visit and around 100 thousand tests are conducted daily. It is impossible to describe the happiness when our citizens find healing and return home. When people regain their old health, it comes to say ‘sacrifice made for the efforts’. We thank our valuable staff who work tirelessly.
