Governor Çiçek: ‘We are proud of our City Hospital’

Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, together with AK Party Kayseri Deputy Şaban Çopuroğlu, visited Kayseri City Hospital and evaluated the newly opened centers. During the visit, which was attended by Provincial Health Director Dr. Mehmet Erşan, Hospital Chief Physician Assoc. Dr. Serhat Koyuncu, directorate and hospital managers, Çiçek and Çopuroğlu evaluated the IVF Center, Burn Center, Stroke Center, and Cornea Bank opened in the past months, and received information from the responsible physicians about the services and qualities offered in the units. Governor Çiçek, who also visited the patients in the wards and conveyed his get-well wishes, expressed once again their pride in the City Hospital, stating, ‘We visited our units that recently started operating in the City Hospital. First, we visited our IVF center and had a conversation with our colleagues. We were pleased to see that it is a center designed at an advanced level fitting for Kayseri. Then, we visited our newly established cornea bank and received information on the areas related to eye interventions that our City Hospital can directly handle.’ Governor Çiçek emphasized that soon there will be no area in Kayseri City Hospital where intervention cannot be made, saying, ‘Right now, we are in one of the most equipped burn centers in Central Anatolia. We received information from our professors. I thank our Provincial Health Director, chief physician, and doctors. We truly saw that they work with great effort. We are also pleased to see that now all kinds of burns can be intervened in Kayseri City Hospital without being referred elsewhere. These are all centers established recently. In the near future, efforts will be made for liver transplant as well. The City Hospital is not only Kayseri’s but also the most equipped hospital in the entire region. I thank my professors for their efforts, we are proud once again of our City Hospital and our professors after what we saw today.’ AK Party Kayseri Deputy Şaban Çopuroğlu stated, ‘May Allah grant healing to all our patients and may no harm come to our state. What we see is that there is a hospital right next to them when needed within their geography. There are times when 18,000 patients visit and around 100,000 tests are conducted in a day. It is impossible to describe the happiness when our citizens find healing and return home. When people regain their old health, it comes to say ‘let the efforts be sacrificed.’ We thank our valuable employees who work with heart and soul.’
