A company operating in Sivas produced a dishwasher capsule to reduce external dependency in detergents. After about 4 years of long and dedicated work, the capsule was put into mass production. Dermokil, a company in Sivas that sells products to world giants in the cosmetics and cleaning sector, produced Turkey’s first dishwasher capsule under the brand ‘TEMS’. The company, which conducted dedicated R&D work for about 4 years, worked to find the best performing capsule. A product was obtained that both maintains the dishwasher and shows the most effective performance on dishes. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, Unal Karaca, stated that with the start of mass production of this product, they aim to end external dependency in the dishwasher capsule category, saying, ‘Turkey is no longer contained within itself; we are creating significant export figures. We have significant domestic and national products on the shelves in the domestic market.’
Unal Karaca, emphasizing the importance of domestic and national production for the country’s economy, said, ‘As a company, our mission and vision are to produce domestic and national products. We are generally dependent on foreign sources in the cosmetics sector and detergent group. We have undertaken to keep national capital as much as possible within the country. There are many companies in Turkey that produce significantly. These companies are doing great things. Turkish companies produce much better products than those made in the world and in the most developed countries. It is only necessary to support and embrace them here. A product coming from abroad is never superior to our products. But our products are sold at much higher prices. Thanks to us and other manufacturers in Turkey, a balance of external dependency is established. There is no longer a society in Turkey that consumes as before. Our people are now more conscious and give importance to production. Turkey is no longer contained within itself; we are creating significant export figures. We have significant domestic and national products on the shelves in the domestic market. We can say that we provide very serious support in this regard.’
‘Expensive product means good product’ perception among citizens is not correct,’ said Karaca, ‘An expensive product does not mean a good product. A good and quality product produced in a corporate company is always valuable. This is already present in Turkey. Our visibility and reliability are quite high. There is always support from consumers. Our prices are quite budget-friendly. If there were no producers like us, the situation of selling a product that was previously sold for three, four, five times its price could not be prevented. Money is not easily earned in Turkey. The price is determined in return for the quality of the effort and the product.’
‘TEMS will meet consumers after 4 years of R&D work.’ Unal Karaca stated that the R&D team has been working diligently for 4 years, saying, ‘We have a four-year work on the capsule. Within four years, we had a few intermediate products. With our updated latest product, TEMS 4 Effect, we have achieved a product that we can say is the best and can compete globally in terms of quality. We have set up a production line with a very high capacity. There is demand in the market as well. Now we say, we produce, let Turkey consume. There are one or two more local producers who released their products 15-20 days before us. But we had a four-year camp study. They are also very high quality, they are also working very diligently. There was a serious gap in Turkey. In this way, we produced this area while balancing the price.’
