After the spark that jumped from the stove in Isparta, a fire broke out, causing the two-story house belonging to the Ata family to become uninhabitable. With the support of philanthropists under the leadership of Isparta Municipality, the Ata family’s house is being renovated.
The fire occurred on Wednesday, May 29th in the two-story house located on 4321 Street in Sidre Neighborhood. A fire broke out in the house owned by Kazım-Hamide Hur Ata after a spark from the stove, and despite the intense efforts of the Isparta Municipality Fire Department teams, the fire was extinguished, but the house suffered extensive damage. Following the fire, Isparta Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen instructed that the family should be taken care of. With the leadership of Isparta Municipality, the burned house of the Ata family is undergoing renovation with the support of philanthropists.
Describing the day of the incident, Hamide Hur Ata said that she went out to give milk to someone, and when she returned home, she noticed the fire. Ata explained that she immediately called the 112 Emergency Call Center and the neighborhood headman upon seeing the fire, saying, ‘Our fire department arrived and extinguished the fire. Our Mayor of Isparta is helping. I thank our Mayor and all our institutions.’
Sidre Neighborhood Headman Hacer İnci Özbey also stated that when Hamide Hur Ata called her on the day of the fire, the flames had risen to the sky, and the fire was extinguished with the intensive efforts of the fire department. Özbey mentioned that after the fire, with the instructions of Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen, all municipal teams were by the family’s side, saying, ‘I thank our Mayor and his team, as well as all our aid organizations. We felt that we were not alone here. I thank the residents of the neighborhood and on behalf of myself. They made us feel safe, thank you.’
