In 1996, I worked and conducted research on ‘Pediatric Ophthalmology’ for 2 years at Washington University Eye Clinic in the United States. After these intensive professional training processes, I continued my academic activities at the Department of Ophthalmology at PAU. I became an Associate Professor in 1999 and a Professor in 2005, while also serving as the Chief Physician and Deputy Dean at PAU. Almost my entire 30-year career was spent in Denizli at the Department of Ophthalmology at PAU. During this time, thousands of doctors, nearly 50 eye doctors, and our faculty members were trained. I enriched my academic life with over 47 international and more than 100 national articles and papers, successfully completed SPO and TUBITAK projects on academic life. Between 2006 and 2023, I managed the establishment and development processes of Denizli Gözakademi Hospital as the medical director. The hundreds of thousands of patient examinations and tens of thousands of surgeries I performed during this period became our common experience and our greatest treasure with our professors, specialists, and assistants we worked with.”

Emphasizing that he aims to combine his 30 years of knowledge and experience in a modern center, Prof. Dr. Yıldırım stated, “As of 2024, I have opened my fully equipped eye clinic in Denizli, aiming not only to be a brand belonging to Denizli but also to serve its surroundings and the country without compromising on ethical and deontological values. In my new professional journey, I will continue to share my experiences of ‘trust and good medicine’ with my colleagues, while providing the highest level of scientific and technological assistance to my patients with the awareness of our social responsibilities. We are now ready to offer services with a good experience and technology together with my team in a more modern and comfortable environment.
