President Palancıoğlu: ‘Art beautifies everything’

Mayor of Melikgazi, Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Palancıoğlu, visited the end-of-year exhibition of MELMEK organized in collaboration with Melikgazi Municipality and Melikgazi Martyr Hüseyin Danacı Public Education Center, as well as two exhibitions organized in collaboration with Melikgazi Municipality Martyr Hüseyin Danacı Public Education Center and KAYMEK on the occasion of Lifelong Learning Week. Expressing his gratitude to those involved in the exhibition where beautiful handcrafted products were displayed, Mayor Palancıoğlu stated that art beautifies everything. He emphasized the importance that Melikgazi Municipality gives to art, culture, and courses that develop hand skills. He mentioned that various courses are offered to citizens at Melikgazi Municipality Vocational Training Courses. Mayor Palancıoğlu expressed that MELMEK courses receive great interest throughout the year. In our dozens of courses such as sewing-embroidery, Maras embroidery, pearl bag making, copper relief, our citizens can both improve their hand skills and become professionals. The handcrafted products worked on by MELMEK participants and instructors throughout the year welcomed us at the exhibition. Our Municipality hosted the MELMEK exhibition held in the foyer area. Afterwards, we had the opportunity to see the KAYMEK exhibition at Kaymek Academy, where products adorned with meticulous embroidery and hidden artistry in their texture were on display. I thank Melikgazi Municipality, Melikgazi Martyr Hüseyin Danacı Public Education Center, MELMEK and KAYMEK instructors and participants, and everyone involved in these beautiful exhibitions.
