Memur Sen is 29 years old

Eyüp Bülent Miran, the Representative of Memur Sen in Antalya and the President of Eğitim Bir Sen Branch, celebrated the 29th anniversary of the Memur Sen Confederation. President Miran stated, ‘While raising the voice and words of labor, Memur Sen has taken on the duty of being the voice and words of the oppressed who are subjected to the horrific massacres caused by global imperialism.’ Highlighting the strong position of the Memur-Sen Confederation in public servants’ unionism in Turkey, which has reached a total of 1,078,822 members, Eyüp Bülent Miran emphasized that since June 9, 1995, Memur Sen, an organization that has committed itself to being the voice and words of the oppressed who are exposed to the horrific massacres caused by global imperialism, has been raising the voice and words of labor. Miran expressed his gratitude separately to those who have devoted their labor, life, and hearts to our union’s struggle from our Founding President Akif İnan to the present, and extended condolences to those who have passed away and wished well-being to those still alive.
Describing as an organization that embraces the universal, Miran continued his words: ‘From its establishment to the present day, we have witnessed the patience, perseverance, and loyalty in raising the voice and words of labor and sweat, the altruistic hearts, loyal members, strong organization, workplace representatives of our eleven service branches, our branch presidents, provincial representatives, our commissions, and the determination of the headquarters’ management. We have also witnessed the dedication of the Public Works employees who invest in both space and humans, the Local Government employees who mobilize for livable cities, the Communication employees who turn information into news and enhance communication, the Office employees who facilitate our lives, the Diyanet and Foundation employees who guide us towards submission to the truth, the Education employees who load hearts with knowledge and love, the Energy and Industry employees who spend their energy for Turkey, the Culture employees who bring our culture together with humanity, the Health employees who protect our mental, spiritual, and physical health, the Agriculture-Forestry employees who try to make halal food a state policy, the Transport employees who connect friends and reunite foreign lands with homeland, our Women’s Commission, Young Memur-Sen, Disabled Memur-Sen, Retired Memur-Sen, greetings to each pioneer of labor who is a member of this epic. This is an epic written together. Memur-Sen is the dedication of those who put the stamp of academic service unionism on union history. Memur-Sen is an ethical movement that, while walking towards the future, embraces universality by maintaining its allegiance to its roots, establishes the future by showing gratitude to the past, and as a labor organization that does not forget where it came from. Friends from all around the world are raising the voice and words of Memur-Sen. What started with a chair and a table has evolved into a power, a determination that founded the Eurasian-scale International Labor Confederation. It is the name of a strength.
