The 20th Ordinary General Assembly of the ‘Turkish Parliamentary Union’, of which the President, Presidents of the Republic Senate and National Assembly, Prime Ministers, Ministers, and members of the Assembly’s Presidency Council are members, was held at the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Nevzat Pakdil was re-elected as the Chairman, and MHP Deputy Ahmet Erbaş became a member of the board of directors.
Throughout his political career, MHP Deputy Ahmet Erbaş, who has held various positions from sports to arts, was elected to the board of the Turkish Parliamentary Union after serving as the Deputy Chairman of the Interior Commission. The new board of directors of the Turkish Parliamentary Union included the following names: Orhan Erdem (AK Party Konya Deputy), Ahmet Erbaş (MHP Kütahya Deputy), Ali Özkaya (AK Party Afyon Deputy), Ali Temur (AK Party Giresun Deputy), Ceyda Bölünmez Çankırı (AK Party Izmir Deputy), Cihan Paçacı (Good Party Istanbul Deputy), Uğur Bayraktutan (CHP Artvin Deputy), Zeki Korkutata (AK Party Bingöl Deputy), Mustafa Akış (AK Party, 24th Term Konya Deputy, Presidential Advisor), Canan Candemir Çelik (24th Term Bursa Deputy), Alparslan Kavaklıoğlu (26th Term Niğde Deputy), Mahmut Kaçar (26th Term Şanlıurfa Deputy), Ömer Faruk Öz (24th Term Malatya Deputy), Ramazan Kerim Özkan (24th Term Burdur Deputy).
After the 20th Ordinary General Assembly of the Turkish Parliamentary Union, MHP Kütahya Deputy Ahmet Erbaş made a brief statement, saying, ‘The Turkish Parliamentary Union aims to foster friendship, cultural, intellectual, and spiritual solidarity among parliamentarians who have served and are serving in the Grand National Assembly and Legislative Assemblies, to benefit society from the knowledge and experience of its members through scientific and cultural activities, to facilitate the development of the political and cultural environment, to establish parliamentary traditions, and to strengthen and sustain our democracy. I thank everyone who found us worthy of this duty.’
