Habibe Aydın, the President of the Eskişehir Balkan Immigrants Culture and Solidarity Association, expressed that they support their brothers and sisters in Bulgaria with their votes, saying:
“Today, we are holding the parliamentary elections in Bulgaria. We know that there are around 4,000 dual citizens living in Eskişehir. We expect them to show sensitivity in voting. There are 166 ballot boxes opened nationwide in Turkey today. In Eskişehir, we have 3 ballot boxes. One of these ballot boxes is located at Plevne Administrative Secondary School in Çankaya Neighborhood, and the other 2 ballot boxes are at Şehit Subutay Alkan Secondary School and Ahmet Olcay Primary School in the Tepebaşı region. The voting process will continue. We attach great importance to these elections. Because we want to show our continuous support to our brothers and sisters in Bulgaria. On one hand, the past is unforgettable. However, we want to move forward hand in hand with our brothers and sisters in Bulgaria and guide them with support from Turkey. Of course, today has another significance. The European Union parliamentary elections are also taking place at the same time. In this sense, the votes that will be cast from here have great importance. Our dual citizens will also have an impact and contribute to the European Union parliamentary elections.
