Bilal Uludağ, the Mayor of Sarıçam, has been elected as the President of the Union of Municipalities of Turkey

Çukurova Municipalities Union (ÇBB) has elected its new president. In the voting held at the Assembly Meeting, with a total of 173 members from Adana, Mersin, Hatay, and Osmaniye casting their votes, Sarıçam Municipality Mayor Bilal Uludağ, who received the most votes, was elected as the President of the Union.
Çukurova Municipalities Union (ÇBB) has elected its new president. A total of 173 members from Adana, Mersin, Hatay, and Osmaniye attended the meeting held at Adana Evliya Çelebi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Conference Hall. In the voting, Sarıçam Municipality Mayor Bilal Uludağ, who received 128 votes, was elected as the President of the Union with a majority of votes.
Expressing that the Presidency of Çukurova Municipalities Union (ÇBB) is a separate honor and a source of pride for himself, Sarıçam Municipality Mayor Bilal Uludağ stated in his speech, “In line with the developments in local governance worldwide, we will support our municipalities in producing services that are in line with these developments, and we will do all of these together and in harmony.”
“Every project implemented by our Union will contribute to our Çukurova”
President Uludağ, expressing their hopes that every decision made by the Union, every activity carried out, every service provided, every project implemented will greatly contribute to the development and progress of Çukurova, stated in his speech, “From today onwards, our priority will be to bring together all union members without discrimination, in the framework of the interests of Çukurova, with a fair approach, to increase partnership and cooperation. I hope that every decision made by our Union, every activity carried out, every service provided, every project implemented will greatly contribute to the development and progress of Çukurova.”
“We will be a Union followed and monitored nationally and internationally”
President Uludağ concluded his speech with the following words: “With an understanding that guides change, with the mission of implementing practices that meet unmet needs in local governments, and with our vision of becoming a Union whose activities and strategies are followed and monitored nationally and internationally; we will elevate inter-municipality relations to a realistic, contemporary, and effective level, ensure the production and implementation of joint projects that meet the requirements of the era and the real needs of our citizens. We will take the lead in resolving the common problems of our municipalities, accelerate training programs aimed at adopting a problem-solving and corporate service approach by the personnel working in our municipalities. We will provide sustainable support services to the member municipalities of our Union in the planning, realization, and implementation processes of domestic and international grant projects. We will support the member municipalities of our Union in benefiting from national and international credit institutions and funds and developing projects. In line with the developments in local governance worldwide, we will support our municipalities in producing services that are in line with these developments, and we will do all of these together and in harmony. Embracing all union members with an approach that prioritizes the demands and expectations of our citizens, without alienating anyone, without allowing political polarization, without permitting any discrimination.”
Çukurova Municipalities Union (ÇBB), determining the new term management through the voting, elected Kozan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Atlı and Ellek Municipality Mayor Abbas Yeşildemir as the Deputy Presidents of the Assembly.
