Acun Ilıcalı: ‘We are working 24 hours to create a Fenerbahçe that challenges for the European championship’

Acun Ilıcalı, who is included in the board of directors list of Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç in the election, stated that the fans applauded the football team this season and said, ‘Now it’s time for the championship. With the approval of our president, we rolled up our sleeves. We are working 24 hours to create a strong Fenerbahçe, an invincible Fenerbahçe, and a Fenerbahçe that challenges for the European championship.’ Fenerbahçe Sports Club’s Ordinary General Assembly Meeting with Election is taking place at Ülker Stadium. Businessman Acun Ilıcalı, who is included in the board of directors list of current president and presidential candidate Ali Koç, addressed the congress members. Ilıcalı, stating that they are in a difficult election period, expressed his pride in being called by the president. He emphasized the positive aspects of Fenerbahçe’s current situation compared to the past, highlighting the efforts to achieve success and the unity among supporters. Ilıcalı also mentioned the accusations made against him by presidential candidate Aziz Yıldırım, stating that he finds these accusations very saddening and highlighted the importance of justice.
Ilıcalı further emphasized that he is working to build a strong squad for the football team and stated, ‘We can compete, have different opinions, and disagree on the president, but when we hit below the belt, we are hitting Fenerbahçe. I have spent my life in these stands. I climbed the iron bars of this stadium in its old days, trying to get in. I am here for a new Fenerbahçe, for a united Fenerbahçe, and to instill fear in our rivals. They should fear us because we are the greatest.’ Ilıcalı also expressed his determination to support the president in transforming Fenerbahçe’s finances and building the strongest team in history.
