Yunus Arıncı, the President of the State Supervisory Council (DDK), has been appointed as the General Manager of Takasbank. With this significant change in Arıncı’s career, a new era has begun in Turkey’s financial sector. An important change has taken place in Turkey’s financial sector with the Presidential decree published in today’s issue of the Official Gazette. Yunus Arıncı, the President of the State Supervisory Council (DDK), has been appointed as the General Manager of Takasbank. Yunus Arıncı, in a post on his social media account, stated, ‘As of today, I have completed my tenure as the President of the State Supervisory Council that I have proudly held for 9 years and have been appointed as the General Manager of Takasbank. I express my thanks to my colleagues who supported me during this process and to our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.’ Who is Yunus Arıncı? Born in 1975 in Ordu, Yunus Arıncı graduated from the Department of Public Administration at Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences. Continuing his education with a master’s degree at Indiana University, Arıncı also received education in the field of sociology. In 1997, Arıncı took his first step in bureaucracy as an Assistant Inspector General at the Prime Ministry Inspection Board, and held critical positions such as inspector and chief inspector. Assuming an important responsibility by being appointed as the President of the Prime Ministry Inspection Board in 2009, Arıncı was assigned as the President of the State Supervisory Council in 2015. From DDK to Takasbank. Successfully carrying out the position of President of the State Supervisory Council for 9 years, Yunus Arıncı played an important role in the management of Borsa Istanbul during this period. The successful performance displayed by Arıncı in the positions he held, including being a high-level executive in the directors’ board at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), was one of the most important factors behind his appointment as the General Manager of Takasbank. Arıncı, a married father of three, is fluent in English.
