Women displayed their handmade products with care and dedication

Women from Haliliye in Şanlıurfa showcased their handcrafted products with great care. The end-of-year exhibition of the women received great interest. The end-of-year exhibition prepared by the students of Haliliye Municipality Women Support Centers was opened at the Eyyüp Cenap Gülpınar Devteşti Sports and Life Center. Due to the genocide and women deaths in Palestine, the exhibition did not include music or shows and was carried out quietly. Fethiye Canpolat, the wife of the Mayor of Haliliye, Mehmet Canpolat, visited the stands containing handcrafted products one by one and received information from the women instructors. Fethiye Canpolat congratulated the women who produced beautiful products after receiving training throughout the year. The products of women attending courses at Devteşti, Ertuğrul Gazi, Süleymaniye Women Support Centers, and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Cultural Center will be exhibited at the Eyyüp Cenap Gülpınar Devteşti Sports and Life Center for two days. Fethiye Canpolat, who visited the exhibition, stated, ‘In our year-long learning courses that we conducted together with the public education center, our women have created very beautiful products. Congratulations to all of them. Hopefully, as the Municipality of Haliliye, we will achieve even greater accomplishments together. Thank you all very much.’ One of the course instructors, Güler Gökmen, said, ‘I am a sewing instructor. We have made many products. We taught our students how to use the machine. Their psychology improves when our students attend the courses. We thank those who contributed to these courses. Our students are very happy. We have tea times and events on Fridays at the course center. We are very pleased to spend quality time. Thanks to everyone infinitely.’ Zeliha Çoban, one of the women attending courses at Süleymaniye Community Center, said, ‘I go to the sewing course at Süleymaniye Community Center. I was bored at home, and this course was very beneficial for me psychologically. I sew, do handicrafts, make towels, and do handicrafts. I thank those who contributed.’
