Battalgazi Mayor Bayram Taşkın, together with Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı, conducted inspections at the Ulu Mosque, Silahtar Mustafa Pasha Caravanserai, and Arslantepe Mound in Eskimalatya. Battalgazi Mayor Bayram Taşkın, along with Culture and Tourism Deputy Minister Gökhan Yazgı who visited Malatya for a series of visits, inspected the important tourism destinations of Malatya, including the Ulu Mosque, Silahtar Mustafa Pasha Caravanserai, and Arslantepe Mound. Mayor Taşkın, accompanied by Deputy Minister Yazgı, closely monitored the restoration works at the Ulu Mosque and the ongoing works at the Arslantepe Mound Visitor Center, stating that they host a few of the region’s most important values, and said, ‘We will implement all necessary efforts to introduce our cultural values to the world.’ Mayor Bayram Taşkın emphasized the importance of promoting and preserving cultural values not only at the local but also at the national and international levels, saying, ‘In such places, we witness Malatya’s deep-rooted history, rich culture, and impressive tourism potential. Our priority is to bring back to tourism the historical sites damaged by the earthquake through the visits we have made to important points with Deputy Minister. We also exchanged ideas on promoting these unique heritages to the world. Malatya stands out not only with its natural beauties but also with hosting significant civilizations throughout history. We will act with determination to protect and sustain this heritage. We will spare no effort in promoting our cultural and historical values to the world. As Battalgazi Municipality, we are aware of the importance of preserving our past and leaving a legacy to future generations. Therefore, we will actively participate in restoration works, promotional activities, and cultural events. We will revive our historical sites as soon as possible.’
