President Ozdogan sets an example with blood donation

Mayor of Hacılar, Bilal Özdoğan, made a significant contribution by visiting the Erciyes University Blood Center tent set up in the town square of Hacılar district. In the blood donation campaign, which attracted intense interest from the citizens, Mayor Özdoğan also donated blood and invited everyone to donate blood.

A tent was set up in the Hacılar square by the Erciyes University Blood Center. Mayor of Hacılar, Bilal Özdoğan, visited the tent where blood donations from those who want to donate blood and aimed to raise awareness about blood donation among the district residents, and received detailed information about the work from donor recruitment specialist Fatih Polat. After the briefing, Mayor Özdoğan rolled up his sleeves to donate blood. Drawing attention to the importance of blood donation, Mayor Özdoğan said, ‘I thank the ERU blood center staff for organizing such an event in our district. We also try to donate blood regularly. It is recommended to donate blood every three months for men and every four months for women. By donating blood, we are giving life, giving hope to those in need, and protecting our health.’

Mayor Özdoğan continued his speech as follows: ‘Blood is not an urgent but a continuous need. We are participating in this campaign to share this sensitivity with our citizens because it is on the agenda and to contribute. Our university’s blood center comes to our district at certain intervals, collects blood from those who are able to donate blood, and delivers it to those in need at our hospital. In this regard, I thank Fatih and his team. Through this, I invite our fellow citizens from Hacılar to donate blood at all times. In a developing, growing Kayseri, there can always be patients in need of a drop of blood, not only in announcements. Let’s donate blood to help our patients and to find health. The Erciyes University blood center staff thanked Mayor Özdoğan for his sensitivity and expressed that the intense interest of the district residents made them happy.
