In Osmaniye, “Lifelong Learning Week” event was organized

In Osmaniye, an end-of-year event was held for the ‘Lifelong Learning Week’. Lifelong Learning Week activities, traditionally organized every year with the aim of developing, promoting, and spreading the culture of lifelong learning, took place at the Public Education Center. In the exhibition opened by public education course participants, various works such as weaving, sewing, embroidery, ceramics, painting, woodworking, and zero waste that the participants have created throughout the year were exhibited.

Ayhan Uyar, the Director of Yahya Mazlum Public Education Center, stated that Osmaniye ranks at the forefront nationwide in terms of the number and diversity of courses opened and reaching the public. He expressed his gratitude to all participants for their interest and attention shown in the exhibition. He mentioned that Osmaniye Public Education Center has achieved significant rankings nationwide, both in terms of statistical data and course diversity, consistently ranking among the top 3 in Turkey since 2019. Currently, there are approximately 1,150 active courses achieving national rankings. Courses are ongoing in schools, government institutions, universities, all neighborhoods of Osmaniye, family social policy areas, and Youth Sports Directorate’s sports fields, tailored to their expectations.

Furthermore, master instructor Hatice Bahar, who mentioned that they opened courses to contribute to housewives, emphasized the importance of lifelong learning. She expressed that they are all like children today, with the closure of children’s school coinciding with their exhibition. She highlighted the role of Public Education in providing valuable courses for housewives and acknowledged the beautiful products they create, thanking them wholeheartedly for their efforts.
