President Erdogan conferred the State Order to President Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan conferred the State Order to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan conferred the State Order to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Presidential Complex. Speaking at the ceremony, President Erdoğan stated, ‘Since my brother Mirziyoyev was elected as president in 2016, Uzbekistan has become a source of peace and stability in its region. Mr. President has ensured the development of Uzbekistan through the Third Renaissance projects and economic reforms that we wholeheartedly support. We are pleased to see that Shavkat brother has raised Uzbekistan, a great state with its history, culture, and people, to a higher level once again.’

Expressing pride as Turkey and Turkish brothers in the achievements of Uzbekistan in all fields, President Erdoğan said, ‘This year, we celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Uzbekistan. We will further advance our comprehensive strategic partnership. With your exceptional leadership that paved the way for our relations to reach today’s excellent level, you have demonstrated a sincere will to strengthen the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between us. You have shown that Turkey and the Turkish nation are friends in hard times, especially in events such as the earthquakes on February 6. For all these reasons, I am very pleased to confer our highest state order, the State Order of the Republic of Turkey, to you.’

President Erdoğan expressed his belief that Mirziyoyev will consider and carry the state order as a strong symbol of the unshakable brotherhood between the two countries, stating, ‘I pray to God to make our brotherhood and love eternal. I extend my best wishes for the happiness and prosperity of Your Excellency and the brotherly Uzbek people.’
