A business person who has lived in Germany shared job opportunities abroad with final year high school students preparing for university entrance exams in Eskişehir.
Just like nationwide, 12th grade high school students in Eskişehir are counting down the days to the university entrance exam. Some students, who are getting ready to start a new life after 4 years in various high schools, still cannot fully decide what they want to do, and educators are trying to support the youth by sharing their knowledge and experiences during this process. In this context, the Principal of Gazi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Sırrı Kabadayı, and businessman Volkan Susuz shared job opportunities abroad with students based on their experiences. Emphasizing that opportunities do not come ready and students need to be prepared for it, the speakers wished success to everyone for the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) to be held on 8-9 June.
“As in the past, Germany has a shortage of personnel in various professions”
Originally from Germany, businessman Volkan Susuz said, “As in the past, Germany has a shortage of personnel in various professions. But this time, there are some laws being regulated for a possible migration flow that could create the same labor shortage. In this qualified migration law, there is a requirement for a vocational diploma from those who want to migrate to Germany from third world countries outside the European Union. The equivalence of this vocational diploma in Germany’s relevant educational institutions is also necessary. After that, the process of finding a job in Germany for individuals starts. Of course, there are many advantages provided by Germany in this process.”
