Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has started ‘Sports Activities in Parks’

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues its ‘Park Sports Activities’ initiated with the slogan ‘Healthy Steps, Healthy Capital’ this year as well, following the intense demand and satisfaction from the residents of the capital.

Citizens show great interest in the free sports activities initiated by Ankara Metropolitan Municipality with the slogan ‘Healthy Steps, Healthy Capital’ in parks and recreation areas. Sports activities, aimed at encouraging sports in the capital, are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays between 08:30-11:00 at 17 different locations.

Residents exercise outdoors
The Directorate of Women and Family Services conducts sports activities with physical education teachers and expert trainers in 17 designated parks and recreation areas. Residents who want to exercise outdoors can participate in the free sports activities on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays between 08:30-11:00.

‘I invite all our citizens to the sports event at Vedat Dolakay Park’
Highlighting the motivational aspect of exercising outdoors, Physical Education Teacher Esin Yalçın stated, ‘Our Healthy Steps, Healthy Capital, Sports in Parks Project has started today. We are also doing sports with all our members at Batıkent Women’s Club located in Vedat Dolakay Park. I invite all our citizens to the sports event at Vedat Dolakay Park.’

Sports activities at 17 locations
The parks where the free sports event is organized with the slogan ‘Healthy Steps, Healthy Capital’ are as follows: Altınpark, Kurtuluş Parkı, Seğmenler Parkı, Gazi University Çubuk Campus, Göksu Parkı, Kelebek Su Parkı, Şehit Uzman Çavuş Can İnce Parkı, Necmettin Erbakan Parkı, Esertepe Parkı (In front of Esertepe Family Life Center), Şafak Tepe Parkı, GOP Parkı, Harikalar Diyarı Parkı (3rd Gate Entrance), Yunus Emre Sevgi Parkı, Cemre Parkı, Erol Kaya Parkı, Vedat Dalokay Parkı, Zeynepcik Parkı.
