He mentioned that under the regulations of the foot-and-mouth disease, tuberculosis, and brucellosis, farms that are registered with a quarantine unit, under minimum, technical, and hygienic conditions, and where all animals are confirmed not to carry these diseases through laboratory controls, are granted the ‘Disease-Free Farm’ certificate. He also highlighted the contribution of the regulations regarding tuberculin tests and brucella analyses applied to animals acquired especially from imported and disease-free farms by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, stating that the number of disease-free farms has increased significantly and with additional support, they aim to raise the number to at least 20 farms by 2024, starting from the current 12. Additionally, serving as the President of the Sheep and Goat Breeders Association, Director Gümüş emphasized the importance of livestock and agriculture, stating that the efforts made to increase the number of disease-free farms set an example, and congratulated the farm owner who qualified for the ‘Disease-Free Farm Certificate’.
