Turkish Airlines, which has attracted attention with the significant increase in ticket prices, has also increased the fee for its Fear of Flying Program organized by the Aviation Academy for those experiencing flight anxiety. The program, which had a participation fee of 3,300 Turkish Lira in 2019, has now reached 30,000 Turkish Lira in 2024.
Turkish Airlines (THY) Aviation Academy’s 2-day Fear of Flying Program for those experiencing flight anxiety now has prices up to 30,000 Turkish Lira. Students (under 26 years old), retirees, and teachers are charged 21,000 Turkish Lira. The participation fee for the program in 2019 was 3,300 Turkish Lira. Throughout the program held on Saturday and Sunday, expert professionals such as psychiatrist-psychologists, trainers, pilots, aircraft maintenance instructors, and cabin crew trainers provide participants with the support they need.
The first day of the program involves experts in aviation such as pilots, technical instructors, and cabin crew trainers providing information to participants on piloting and technical aspects of aircraft. Psychologists evaluate participants’ flight anxieties. Subsequently, a virtual flight simulation is conducted inside a cabin simulator with the accompaniment of cabin crew trainers, psychologists, and technical instructors, replicating all conditions of a real flight. At the end of the program, a real round-trip flight to a designated domestic destination is carried out.
