Enfidha Airport in Tunisia has reached the fourth level in the ACI Europe Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) program. Antalya, Izmir, and Ankara airports are also in carbon-neutral status. By 2030, the entire portfolio will be carbon-neutral. TAV Airports, the leading brand of Turkey in airport operation, has reached the fourth level titled ‘Transformation’ in the prestigious Airport Carbon Accreditation program in Enfidha Airport. Antalya, Izmir, and Ankara airports are at level 3+ in ‘carbon-neutral’ status. TAV Airports aims to make all the airports it operates carbon-neutral by 2030, reaching net zero emissions at the latest by 2050. Kürşad Koçak, the Group President of Airport Operations at TAV Airports, stated that they have been working to minimize the environmental impact of their operations while creating the highest benefit for their stakeholders since the beginning. Ten years ago, Ankara Esenboga became Turkey’s first carbon-neutral airport. Today, four airports in our portfolio have reached this level. In total, 11 of our airports are part of the ACA program. We are progressing towards our net zero goal by increasing the use of renewable resources and energy efficiency. We will continue to collaborate with our stakeholders for the transformation of the aviation sector.
