Mahmut Kemal Aydın, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Ihlas Foundation, stated that they are conducting sacrifice slaughter activities in Africa and Asia. Ihlas Foundation completed its preparations for sacrifice slaughter both domestically and internationally as the Eid al-Adha approaches. Mahmut Kemal Aydın, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ihlas Foundation, provided information about the foundation’s sacrifice slaughter activities. Aydın said that they perform sacrifice slaughter in Africa and Asia. Providing information about the prices of sacrificial shares, Aydın announced that the domestic sacrificial share price is 11,000 TL, while it is 3,500 TL abroad.
Aydın provided information on the criteria for selecting sacrificial animals, stating that ‘It is necessary for the large cattle to have completed two years of age. We examine the teeth of the animals we choose for sacrifice. A large cattle that has reached the age of two sheds its two teeth in the lower jaw and two large teeth emerge. This is called ‘kapak atmak’ in Anatolia. If this has happened, the animal can be slaughtered as a sacrifice.’
Sacrifice slaughter in a total of 5 countries in Asia and Africa. Aydın also made statements regarding the distribution of sacrificial meat, saying, ‘We slaughter sacrificial animals in the cities where our dormitories are located domestically. We deliver the sacrificial meat to the students in our dormitories and to the needy in the region. In Africa, we perform sacrifice slaughter in Uganda, Chad, and Somalia; and in Asia, we do it in Afghanistan and India. We distribute the sacrificial meat to Quranic schools and madrasas in Africa and Asia. In the countries where we perform slaughter abroad, where the weather is very hot, we organize the sacrifice slaughter in countries where we can, to prevent the meat from being wasted due to the heat, and we distribute it on the same day.’
Aydın stated, ‘Those who want to have sacrifice slaughters done through the Ihlas Foundation can reach us through the foundation’s website. They can also reach us through our phone numbers. After receiving authorization, we carry out the sacrifice slaughter procedures. We send videos of the sacrificial animals slaughtered domestically and internationally to the donors who make the sacrifice donations.’
