Handcrafted products from various courses opened under the Public Education Center in the district of Solhan in Bingöl were exhibited at the end-of-year event.
An end-of-year exhibition was organized for the products of the students attending courses at the Solhan Public Education Center. As part of the ‘Lifelong Learning Week’ activities, the end-of-year exhibition for the 2023-2024 academic year was opened by the Directorate of Solhan Public Education Center. Handcrafted products in various fields such as hand-woven rugs, machine embroidery, needlework, wire art, miniature art, and illumination produced throughout the year in the courses were exhibited. The opening of the end-of-year exhibition was attended by Solhan District Governor Muhammed Çetin, Solhan Mayor Abdulhakim Yıldız, Provincial National Education Branch managers Mehmet Aslan and Sadullah Eryatan, Solhan District National Education Director Muhittin Çiftçi, political party representatives, institution managers, teachers, students, and citizens.
The program started with the cutting of the opening ribbon, followed by the beautiful handcrafted products of the students being admired by the attendees. The displayed products received great interest from the guests during the program, which continued with folk dance performances and various treats.
Emphasizing the importance of lifelong learning, Solhan District Governor Muhammed Çetin highlighted the need for students attending courses at the Solhan Public Education Center to receive quality education for the spread of art and craftsmanship across all segments of society.
Deputy Director Nihat Bengiz stated, ‘In the 2023-2024 academic year, 192 courses were opened in the fields of clothing technology and handicrafts, providing education to 4,311 students. Additionally, throughout the year, courses were offered in various fields such as religious education, literacy courses, language courses, beekeeping, assistant chef training, first aid training, hygiene training, occupational health and safety, orientation, serving 13,000 students. The participation in our exhibition was very intense, and I thank all the attendees.’
