President Toptaş: ‘Transparency and accountability are essential parts of our management approach’

Onikişubat Municipality’s June Council Meeting was held with intense participation of council members under the chairmanship of Mayor Hanifi Toptaş. In the June Council Meeting, a decision was made to live stream the council meetings upon the proposal of the AK Party group. President Toptaş stated that the decision regarding live streaming of council meetings is essential for our transparency and accountability management approach.
The June meeting of Onikişubat Municipal Council was held with the intense participation of council members under the chairmanship of Mayor Hanifi Toptaş. The meeting started with a moment of silence and the national anthem at the Municipal Council Hall, and the agenda items were discussed and resolved. After President Hanifi Toptaş’s opening speech, AK Party Onikişubat Municipal Council Member Durdu Safa Kekeç spoke off the agenda and submitted a proposal requesting live streaming of council meetings. Upon Kekeç’s request, President Toptaş put the proposal to a vote, and it was unanimously accepted. President Toptaş, in his remarks on the subject, stated that transparency and accountability are indispensable for our management approach. President Toptaş said, ‘One of the most prominent issues we emphasized after being nominated was our transparent management approach. With the decision we made at the June Council Meeting of our Municipality, we will broadcast our meetings live as we did today through our municipality’s social media accounts in the future. All our citizens will be able to follow Onikişubat Municipal Council through live broadcasts. I thank our council members for their participation and wish that the decisions we made will bring goodness.’
Subsequently, the agenda items of the council meeting were discussed and resolved.
