Early election signal from Özgür Özel: “If things continue like this, the people will demand an early election”

Yesterday morning, we learned that he was taken into custody in an operation, and the governor of Hakkari was appointed as the trustee. Moreover, the relevant indictment belongs to an investigation that started in 2010. The acceptance date is 2014. A case that has been going on for 10 years, a 14-year-old issue, and the prosecutor who prepared the indictment is currently on the run for FETO. There is no way to prove the allegations in the indictment, the case has been postponed several times, but yesterday, a new investigation was initiated, the mayor was taken into custody based on a new investigation, we don’t know what the crime is, but they say there is a confidentiality order. If there is a crime, if there is a record, if there is new evidence, of course, he can be punished, but there is a proper procedure. After 14 years of trial, when he is tried and if he is arrested, a deputy will be elected from the municipal council. If he is sentenced, it will be dropped when it is finalized, and a mayor will be elected from the municipal council.”
