Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will distribute roasted meat to families in need during Eid al-Adha. It was announced that Izmir residents who want to support the campaign can visit the website bizvariz.izmir.bel.tr for cash donations and live animal donations. Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay said, “We will get through these days together. Let’s expand solidarity.” Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is expanding solidarity to support low-income citizens. The Metropolitan Municipality aims to distribute 800 grams of canned roasted meat to families in need during Eid al-Adha, and has launched a campaign for cash donations and live animal donations for citizens to participate in solidarity. The cash donation campaign, which started today, will continue until June 13 at 23:59. Citizens can purchase and donate a share of small livestock worth 12,500 TL or a share of large livestock worth 13,000 TL. Those who want to support the campaign can apply through the website bizvariz.izmir.bel.tr to join the system.
Those who want to donate live animals can either bring sacrificial animals to the collection area or apply through bizvariz.izmir.bel.tr to have the municipal teams pick them up from the address. Live sacrificial animals will be collected on June 15-16-17 (the day before Eid, the first and second day of the holiday).
“Let’s support” Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay addressed the people of Izmir before Eid al-Adha, saying, “There is a fire in the kitchen. Purchasing power is decreasing. We will get through these days together. Let’s expand solidarity, let’s support the campaign.”
