President Basdegirmen met with the teams attending the Rose Festival

The Gala Program of folk dance groups that added color to the International Isparta Rose Festival by participating from domestic and international locations was held for 3 days. Mayor of the Municipality, Şükrü Başdeğirmen, thanked the teams that added color to the activities in Isparta throughout the festival. Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Folk Dance Group from domestic and international locations, Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic, Bulgaria, India, and Isparta Dilek Culture and Art Center Folk Dance Group, along with the Municipality Folk Dance Group, performed regional folk dances for the citizens both in the city center and in the districts and towns for three days during the International Isparta Rose Festival. On the final day of the festival, a gala program was organized at the Isparta Municipality Cultural Center with the participation of the groups. Mayor of Isparta, Şükrü Başdeğirmen, and his wife Şadiye Başdeğirmen also attended the program. Mayor of Isparta, Şükrü Başdeğirmen, stated that they had a fulfilling festival for three days and thanked the guests who came to Isparta from domestic and international locations during the festival. Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen presented a thank-you plaque to the teams and a wooden painting of Isparta’s rose, saying, ‘Our Mayor, Mrs. Fatma, Mayor of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, did not leave us alone here with her team. We send our greetings to them from here. I thank our guests from Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic, Bulgaria, India, and our municipality and city who participated in our events.’ Both domestic and international guests presented gifts symbolizing their regions to Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen. Guests expressed their pleasure in attending events held in various regions and cities, and also in being in Isparta, saying, ‘We thank both the municipality and the people of Isparta for their hospitality. Hopefully, we would like to come in the following years as well. We thank the Mayor and all those involved in the organization. We have been here for 3 days. We were welcomed very nicely, and we had wonderful days. We saw beauties here that we have not seen in many cities of Turkey.’ At the end of the program, the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Folk Dance Group, Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic, Bulgaria, India, and Isparta Dilek Culture and Art Center Folk Dance Group, along with the Municipality Folk Dance Group, performed regional folk dances for the audience filling the hall.
