The International Isparta Rose Festival was celebrated to the fullest for 3 days. On the final day of the festival, rose harvesting was done in the morning, and the festival concluded with a concert by the artist Altay. Speaking at the concert, Mayor Başdeğirmen said, ‘Isparta is the only city known as the rose in the world. We have a valuable product both economically and culturally, thanks to the rose. We have had many beautiful memories thanks to the rose.’ The International Isparta Rose Festival took place between May 31st and June 2nd. While rose harvesting was done in the morning of the final day of the festival, the closing ceremony featured a concert by the artist Altay. Altay performed for thousands of people at Isparta Meydan AVM, energizing the crowd with his performance. After the concert, Altay was presented with a rose painting and rose products by Mayor Şükrü Başdeğirmen and his wife Şadiye Başdeğirmen. Speaking at the festival’s closing, Mayor Başdeğirmen stated that the festival was full of joy and excitement for 3 days. Mayor Başdeğirmen also praised Altay for his excellent stage performance, saying, ‘We have completed our festival dedicated to the valuable brand product of Isparta, the rose. Isparta is the only city known as the rose in the world. We are the province that meets the world’s need for rose oil. This is very valuable and important for us. We have had many beautiful memories thanks to the rose. Altay did not leave us alone on this special day and crowned our program with his concert. I thank him.’ Altay expressed that there is a brotherly and sisterly relationship with Mayor Başdeğirmen and his wife Şadiye Başdeğirmen, saying, ‘I love them like a brother and a sister. Their hearts are so pure and they are so beneficial to people, I know that.’ Following the speech, the Başdeğirmen couple presented Altay with a rose painting, flowers, and rose products.
