Emphasizing the importance of having a daycare center in every neighborhood, Mayor Kurt stated, ‘Children should walk to the daycare holding their mother’s or grandfather’s hand, and return the same way. If we can implement such an education policy, we can follow the path of civilization that Atatürk showed us.’

Mayor Kurt announces the news of new daycare centers Odunpazarı Mayor highlighted the importance they place on education in his speech at the ceremony. Mayor Kurt announced the news of adding 2 more daycare centers to Odunpazarı in the new academic year, stating the following in his speech; ‘We watched beautiful and emotional performances. I thank all our children. I hope you have noticed the progress made after a year of education. I thank you for entrusting your children to us by having confidence in our institutions. As Odunpazarı Municipality, we are opening daycare centers to fulfill our understanding of social municipality. So far, we have opened a total of 17 daycare centers, 9 of which are full-time. With the quality education we provide in our daycare centers, we are trying to prepare our children’s future. This educational term is coming to an end. We will open 2 more larger daycare centers in the new term, the works are almost completed. We will have the chance to accommodate more than 200 students in these two centers. This is one of the most fundamental duties that social municipalities and states should fulfill. We are trying to fulfill this duty. When we started daycare services in Odunpazarı, there were no daycare centers in Eskişehir by any municipality. The number of daycare centers in state institutions was also quite low. While trying to get this service from the private sector at very high costs, families were undoubtedly having difficulties. We made a move to reverse this situation. Currently, over a thousand of our children benefit from our daycare services. Together, we will reshape the new term. If your trust in us continues, we will continue to build new daycare centers. There should be a daycare center in every neighborhood. Children should walk to the daycare holding their mother’s or grandfather’s hand, and return the same way. If we can implement such an education policy, we can follow the path of civilization that Atatürk showed us. Therefore, we are trying to expand our daycare services. As you know, this year is the year of retirees. Our retired citizens need the state to do something for them to live comfortably and peacefully. We have made some efforts in our daycare centers to create awareness, and our children will showcase them. I thank our children, teachers, and all of you once again.’
The little ones collectively tossed their caps in the air Following Mayor Kurt’s speech, the graduation ceremony began. The graduating children were presented with their diplomas by Mayor Kurt. After receiving their diplomas, the children collectively tossed their caps in the air. Parents joined in the joy of the children, who participated in the event. At the end of the ceremony, families took plenty of photos to capture this special moment of their children.
