Good news for new investments in Güzelçamlı

Mayor Omer Gunel, who started the service and investment initiative from Guzelcamli Neighborhood during his first 5-year term, announced new investment news to the residents of Guzelcamli Neighborhood. Mayor Gunel stated that he will leave the decision to the residents of Guzelcamli regarding the closed market place through a mini referendum.

Kusadasi Mayor Omer Gunel, after the ordinary meeting of Kusadasi Municipal Council in June at Guzelcamli Neighborhood Wedding Hall, gave good news to the residents of Guzelcamli about the new social projects he will implement. With the works carried out by Kusadasi Municipality since 2019, Guzelcamli has gained 43 kilometers of new roads with an investment of 113 million 51 thousand TL, and 24,781 square meters of park and green area with an investment of 15 million 828 thousand 750 TL. Guzelcamli will soon have two important social areas.

Mayor Omer Gunel stated that they will restore the old municipal building of Guzelcamli and make it functional. Similar to the Ek Hizmet Building of Kusadasi Municipality in Davutlar Neighborhood, the building in Guzelcamli will be transformed into an area where the relevant departments of the municipality can receive requests and applications, with the presence of a unit called Guvercin Masa. Mayor Omer Gunel said, ‘In our municipal building, there will be a study center for our children and a working area for our women. In addition, we will arrange the building where the old health center was located as a social space for women and children. We will also complete the landscaping we started in the central islands shortly after AYDEM changes the lighting poles.’

Regarding the demand for a closed market place conveyed to him during the election period, Mayor Omer Gunel expressed that he will leave the decision to the residents of Guzelcamli Neighborhood. Mayor Omer Gunel said, ‘I will set up a ballot box in front of the Ataturk statue in the square and conduct a vote on the closed market place. If a decision is made in favor of building a closed market place, I will do it.’

After the council meeting, Mayor Omer Gunel met with the residents and shopkeepers of Guzelcamli Neighborhood, visited the market place, and listened to their problems, demands, and suggestions.
