The Central Examination of the Transition to High School (LGS) conducted by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) for 1 million 38 thousand 192 students studying in the 8th grade of middle school has been completed with both sessions. The central exam within the scope of LGS was held in 62,663 classrooms in 3,891 schools in 973 exam centers nationwide and in 35 classrooms in 11 schools in 11 exam centers abroad. The exam started at 09:30. In the first session, students were asked a total of 50 questions from Turkish, Turkish Republic Revolution History and Kemalism, religious culture and ethics, and foreign language lessons, and given 75 minutes to answer. The second session started at 11:30. In this session, students answered 40 questions from mathematics and science in 80 minutes. After the exam ended at 12:50, both sessions of the central exam were completed. Exam results will be announced on June 28. Question booklets can be provided tomorrow if requested by students. It is expected that the answer key will be published on the ministry’s website this afternoon. The numbers of correct and incorrect answers for each subtest in verbal and numerical sections will be determined. The raw score for each student for each subtest will be calculated by subtracting one-third of the incorrect answers from the number of correct answers for the respective test. Exam results will be announced on June 28. Exam result documents will not be sent to students by mail. With the announcement of the exam results, the Secondary Education Transition Preference and Placement Guide will also be published, and the process of placing students in high schools will begin. In addition, the high schools for students who did not take the exam will be determined by local placement. ‘Turkish was easy’ Efsu Işıktan from the students stated that the exam went well, saying, ‘I found it easier to solve verbal sections. Mathematics was difficult for me in numerical part. It may be easy for others, but Turkish was easy for me. Science was also easy for me. I am waiting for a social sciences high school.’ ‘I struggled a bit in mathematics’ Emir Tepe Demirci expressed that he did not have difficulty in the verbal section of the exam, saying, ‘It was easy for me. The numerical part was a bit harder than the verbal part. I struggled a bit in mathematics. Science was generally good compared to mathematics. I am not very eager for Anatolian High School, I am considering vocational high school. I am currently thinking about electrical electronics.’ ‘We will enjoy the holiday’ Parent Mustafa Kemal Avcı stated that they went through a long marathon, saying, ‘The marathon is over. We are peaceful and comfortable at the moment. We will enjoy the holiday. We are happy.’ On the other hand, answer keys related to the exam were published shortly after the exam. Students can receive exam booklets from the schools where they took the exam one day after the exam.
