Located at an altitude of 2,178 meters on the slopes of Abdalmusa Peak, the highest point in Gümüşhane, Dulağa Plateau has transformed into a unique spectacle with the arrival of the spring season. Dulağa, the plateau of Gümüştuğ village in Torul district, is situated at an altitude of 2,178 meters above sea level. The yellow plateau flowers, daisies, and myriad colorful flowers blooming in the plateau, along with the authentic plateau houses, turn the view into a painting. Not only with its flowers but also with its snow-capped mountains and rushing rivers surrounding it resembling the Alps, Dulağa Plateau attracts attention with its authentic texture and natural beauties, offering peace and tranquility to its visitors. Built in harmony with natural life, the stone and wooden houses in the plateau sustain the traditional plateau life, where in the summer months, villagers stay here to graze their animals and benefit from the clean air of the plateau. Mustafa Dede, one of the village residents who visited Dulağa Plateau, highlighted its special features with its natural beauties and authentic structure, saying, ‘This place is a border to Artebel Lakes Nature Park. Right above us is our Abdalmusa Peak, and we have five lakes. There are yellow and white flowers in the plateau. The snow is still present on the hills behind us. It’s a place where it snows on top of snow. The snow never melts because of the high altitude.’ Dede also mentioned that besides those engaged in animal husbandry during the summer months, people coming from abroad also come and stay in the plateau, stating, ‘In the summer months, there are around 20-25 households here. Almost all houses are filled up.’
