Hakkari Gençler Birliği Sports Club has been making a name for itself with the successes it has achieved recently, while expecting support from institutions and businessmen. Competing in the U15 Development League, Hakkari Gençler Birliği Sports Club surpasses its competitors in the amateur league matches and also achieves championships in regional tournaments. With these achievements, Hakkari Gençler Birliği Sports Club not only contributes significantly to the regional sports scene but also helps in the development of a sports culture among the youth. Gençler Birliği Sports Club, which has been providing opportunities for young people and children to engage in sports for years, is also coping with economic difficulties. Due to increasing financial constraints, the club has started to seek local support to sustain its activities. Furkan Şen, who plays for Gençler Birliği Sports Club, expressed concerns about the financial difficulties the club is facing, stating that despite their success in various categories of matches held in the city, their achievements are not being recognized. He emphasized the importance of financial support for them to continue their success and called for sponsorship from local businesses or support from the municipality. Another player, Furkan Keskin, mentioned that he has been playing for about 2 years, highlighting the financial challenges they face as a club. He mentioned that their expenses exceed the club’s budget, and the coaches cover the expenses from their own pockets. He also mentioned the trophies they won in 3 categories in the 2023-2024 season, attributing the success to team spirit. He expressed the difficulties they face in representing their city outside the province due to transportation challenges and lack of sponsorships on their jerseys, unlike clubs from other cities. He stressed the need for broader support and called for assistance from authorities, companies, and businessmen. Footballer Serdar Orhan Tan, who aims to introduce sports to youth to keep them away from okey lounges and smoking addiction, stated that they face many challenges as a club compared to outside clubs that visit their city. He underlined the efforts of the club presidents and coaches in planning and achieving success and expressed the desire for officials to acknowledge their accomplishments.
