Two fairs that bring together taste and technology hosted 18 thousand visitors

This year, OLIVTECH-Olive, Olive Oil, Dairy Products, Wine and Technologies Fair, which was held for the 11th time, and Izmir Coffee Fair hosted approximately 18 thousand visitors. OLIVTECH Fair, which lasted three days and was open to the public on the last day, and Izmir Coffee Fair, which lasted four days and the last two days were open to the public, attracted great attention from both domestic and international visitors. Visitors had the chance to explore the latest products, technologies, and trends in the olive, olive oil, dairy, wine, and coffee industries. The fairs provided a platform for industry professionals to network, conduct business meetings, and discover new opportunities in the sector. Overall, the events were successful in bringing together professionals and enthusiasts from various sectors and creating a vibrant atmosphere for collaboration and innovation.

OLIVTECH-Zeytin, Olive Oil, Dairy Products, Wine, and Technologies Fair, held for the 11th time this year, and Izmir Coffee Fair hosted approximately 18,000 visitors. The OLIVTECH Fair, which lasted for three days and was open to the public on the last day, and the Izmir Coffee Fair, which lasted for four days and was open to the public on the last two days, brought together domestic and foreign participants and visitors.

Organized by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, and hosted by IZFAS, the only international specialized fair in Turkey that includes olive and olive oil as its main product group, the 11th OLIVTECH – Olive, Olive Oil, Dairy Products, Wine, and Technologies Fair was held on May 23-25 at Fuar Izmir. With the support of the National Olive and Olive Oil Council (UZZK), the fair was visited by a total of 8,547 people, 6,923 of whom were domestic visitors from 33 cities in Turkey, and 1,624 were foreign visitors from 57 countries around the world, from the United States to Belgium, Italy to Morocco. The OLIVTECH Fair hosted participants from 11 provinces, including producers, importers, distributors, food industry companies, bottle and packaging manufacturers, and machinery manufacturers. During the fair, a total of 210 professional foreign visitors from many countries, from Europe to the Middle East, North Africa to Turkic states, conducted commercial negotiations with the participants through the organized B2B program. Machine manufacturers who are prominent in many areas worldwide, from table olives to filling facilities and stainless steel tanks, signed many cooperation agreements and sales at the fair. While the first two days were open only to industry professionals, the last day was open to the public, and various discussions were organized with the participation of academicians, experts, chefs, artists, and leading figures in the sector. Visitors had the opportunity to acquire accurate information about olive oil during the tasting event.

Izmir Coffee Fair hosted thousands of visitors

Izmir, which has been hosting coffee trade and coffee roasting machine manufacturers for over 100 years, strengthened its position in the sector with the Izmir Coffee Fair – Coffee, Coffee Equipment and Consumables Fair held in cooperation with IZFAS and TACTFAIR, under the auspices of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, between May 23-26, 2024. The Izmir Coffee Fair shed light on the future of the coffee sector with its innovative solutions and events offered to both industry professionals and coffee enthusiasts. The first two days of the fair were dedicated only to industry professionals. Professionals had the opportunity to meet with participants offering a wide range of products and services, from coffee machines to green beans, from milk to syrup, from furniture to consultancy services. Sector representatives established new business connections both domestically and internationally, signing new collaborations. The event, which opened its doors to coffee enthusiasts in the last two days, attracted great interest. In its second year, the fair was visited by a total of 9,365 people from 42 cities and 27 countries. The interest of professional visitors and coffee lovers in the fair once again highlighted the importance of the Izmir Coffee Fair.

Leading figures in the sector such as Şerif Başaran, Sam Çeviköz, Atilla Narin, Orkun Üstel, Aykut Yaşar, Atahan Kaygusuz, İsmail Gökcan, Serkan Özkan, and Funda Açıkgöz shared their knowledge and experiences. The fair provided solutions for the development of the coffee and coffee equipment sector, offering Turkey’s strong export sector stakeholders new markets, especially in terms of equipment. Companies participating in the fair also had the opportunity to increase their export potentials by establishing international business connections. Participants and industry professionals expressed that the fair will continue to contribute to the sector with larger participations in the coming years.
