Mamak Municipality hosted the trip of the project ‘100 Children, 100 Works, 1 Documentary: Children Without Barriers’. According to the written statement made by Mamak Municipality, the trip was organized in collaboration with Ankara Governorship, Ankara Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, Istanbul Nisantasi University, and Global Entrepreneur Disabled Association. As part of the ‘100 Children, 100 Works, 1 Documentary: Children Without Barriers’ project, earthquake survivors and disabled children visited Mamak Municipality Ali Kuşçu Astronomy Center during the Ankara tour. During the trip attended by Mamak Mayor Veli Gündüz Şahin, earthquake survivors and disabled children visited the science center. Children touching the planetarium, weather studio, artificial satellites, panoramic elevators, Solar System exhibition, Moon landing simulator, space bicycle, meteorite concept, and balance tunnel explored science. ‘Ali Kuşçu Science Center is a gathering place for space enthusiasts.’ Expressing great joy in hosting the children visiting the Ali Kuşçu Astronomy Center, Şahin said, ‘You came from different places, maybe you haven’t even heard the name of Mamak district. Mamak is the 4th largest district of Ankara and carries great potential for development. The Ali Kuşçu Science Center we are in is a gathering place for space enthusiasts from domestic and foreign countries. It is an honor for us to host you here because you are our future,’ he said. Şahin stated that they will organize Robotics Coding and Digital Art workshop sessions at Ali Kuşçu Science Center during the summer period and expressed that Mamak Municipality supports barrier-free education and science. Şahin also appreciated the ‘100 Children, 100 Works, 1 Documentary Project’ and conveyed his thanks to all the officials involved in the project.
